About 100 / 2000 CoHE PhD Scholarship

Considering our country's goal of becoming one of the 10 largest economies in the world in 2023, it will only be possible to achieve this goal with the production of qualified knowledge and qualified human factor. Within the scope of the 100 / 2000 CoHE Doctoral Scholarships Project, the "Doctoral Scholarships" program was launched for the first time in 2017 by the Council of Higher Education in order to support students studying in doctoral programs at state universities in order to meet the need for human resources with doctoral degrees in order to produce qualified knowledge in priority areas for our country. In order to meet the need of our country for human resources with doctoral degrees in priority areas determined by the Council of Higher Education and updated every year, Doctoral Scholarships are given by YÖK in 100 thematic areas in state universities in Turkey.

Within the scope of the 100/2000 Doctoral Scholarship program, whose applications are supported by the rectorate of Gaziantep University in all respects, 3 scholars were admitted to the Turkish Language and Literature department for the first time in the Spring Semester of the 2018-2019 Academic Year. Our scholars both support the academic affairs of the department and continue to receive doctoral education for their own academic development.

The procedures and principles applied within the scope of the 100/2000 Doctoral Scholarship program  are published on https://yuzikibinbursu.yok.gov.tr/Documents/AnaSayfa/100_2000_Usul_Esaslar.pdf. If the Council of Higher Education gives a quota to our University for the applications made by the Departments through our University, candidate students  apply to the announcement published on the http://fbe.gantep.edu.tr/ at the beginning of each semester.
